Mr. Lu graduated from Nanjing University in China in 2013 with a major in paleontology and a minor in mathematics. During his undergraduate studies, he became interested in petroleum exploration as it combines the application of all geological knowledge. Ting has a strong curiosity in nature and likes to analyze natural phenomena in a quantitative way. Now at Rice, Mr. Lu will focus on the geology track in Subsurface Geoscience. Ting completed an internship with Sinopec China Oil and secured full-time employment with them after graduation.
