Mr. Phan graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Geology. Being equipped with the foundation in geology and geophysics, he worked as a Petrophysics and Seismic Intern and Wellsite Logger in both conventional and unconventional development rigs after his graduation. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Subsurface Geoscience with specializations in Geology and Data Management at Rice University. Having been exposed to numerous types of data in development and exploration fields, Nguyen has realized his deep passion for geological data analytics. As a result, his goal is to utilize his geological knowledge foundation and big data application to convert the sets of raw data into geological meanings that help the industry professionals to make effective decisions in terms of cost-savings and accuracy. Nguyen secured an internship with Energy Makers and was hired full-time after his graduation.
