Mr. Mitchel Vannette graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelor’s in Applied Geophysics with a minor in Economics. While a student at Michigan Tech he attended the Summer of Applied Geophysics Experience (SAGE). SAGE is based in Santa Fe New Mexico. While at SAGE Mr. Vannette studied the Rio Grande Rift using various geophysical methods including gravity, seismic reflection and refraction, magnetotlelurics, and magnetics. His plan is to pursue a career in oil and gas exploration upon graduation. He believes a Professional Master’s in Subsurface Geology with a geophysics focus will be an invaluable experience to reach his career goal.
