Ms. Megan Williams a Houston native, has been fascinated with oil and gas exploration from a young age since her family originated from East Texas. She decided to pursue her interests, and acquired a degree from Southern Methodist University in 2012 with a B.S. in Geology. She solidified her interest through several internships, and cultivated her ability to explore for potential drill sites by interpreting seismic data, analyzing well logs, and constructing maps and cross-sections. Megan enrolled in the Professional Master’s Subsurface Geoscience program to gain the tools necessary to anticipate the future needs for petroleum, and to perform in industry as a geoscientist. Megan interned with Apache Corp. She accepted employment with Occidental Petroleum.
