Ms. Birjue has worked for over 6 years as a Geophysicist at BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC and Schlumberger Information Solutions. Her responsibilities at bpTT included management of producing reservoirs, reserves quantification and estimation of ranges, interpretation of 3D seismic volumes, well planning, identification of new opportunities in the offshore Columbus Basin, Trinidad and generation of seismic attributes from a high-density OBC seismic dataset. She also has extensive experience with Schlumberger Geoscience applications having delivered Petrel training and onsite support while at Schlumberger. She holds both a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Petroleum Geoscience (First Class Honors) and a Post-graduate diploma (with Distinction) in Petroleum Engineering from the University of the West Indies. She enrolled in the Professional Master’s Program in Subsurface Geoscience at Rice to build her understanding in seismic inversion theory, data processing and core geophysical strength while also gaining exposure to the economics and management of the petroleum industry.
