Ms. Yang received her B.S in Resource Prospecting Engineering from Southwest Petroleum University, China in 2017. During her undergraduate studies, she has worked as a research assistant in research programs, The Characteristic of the Filicinae Fossil in the Northeastern Margin of the Late-Jurassic Ordos Basin and Simulation of Pore Evolution of Shale Reservoir. In her final year of undergraduate study, she undertook a senior thesis to evaluate the Petroliferous Region of Lianglitage Formation In Central Uplift, Tarim Basin. In 2017, Jiaqi enrolled in the Professional Master’s Program in Subsurface Geoscience with focus on geology in Rice University. This program will offer her a chance to further her knowledge in petroleum geology and prepare her to be ready to start a career in petroleum industry.
