Mr. Sun obtained his Ph.D. in applied physics from Rice University in 2007. He chose to enroll in the Subsurface Geosciences degree track to position himself for a career as geophysicist in the oil and gas energy industry. The technology development in the oil and gas exploration sector always attracted Jiantang’s attention and interest. His background in both physics and geology, plus his work experience in research and development will serve him well in pursuing his career goals. He accepted full-time employment with ION Geophysical.
