Mr. Knappenberger is a non-traditional student coming to Rice with a B.S. in Chemistry, a M.S. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, and graduate work in Imaging Science and Remote Sensing from the Carlson Center for Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He holds multiple patents in the fields of microelectronics and signal processing. Eric has spent time as a program manager for signal fusion, a supervisor of an active imaging and remote sensing group, and has been formally trained in both competitive intelligence and six sigma methodologies. His focus at Rice is to combine his diverse background with a Professional MS degree in Subsurface Geoscience to solve hard problems in geophysical exploration. Eric is interning at Halliburton/Landmark, and has secured employment with Shell after graduation.
