Mr. ElAmin Ahmed is a Master's candidate in the Subsurface Geosciences program with a focus on Energy Data Management at Rice University. He completed his B.S. in Geology and worked in the petroleum industry before finishing a research-based Master’s thesis in rock physics in the Middle East. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed papers, conference presentations and abstracts. ElAmin has a special interest in developing innovative applications of standard industry practices. His professional experience spans the petroleum geosciences industry and academia as well as working in construction. ElAmin enjoys hiking, traveling and exploring new cultures.
