Mr. Dalmiro Zolezzi Mir graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2018 with a BSc in Geological Sciences. He conducted his BSc Thesis in collaboration with YPF S.A., studying the geology, particularly the structure of an area in Neuquén Basin, Argentina. After graduating, he worked full-time as a corporate exploration geologist at Geopark, an independent oil and gas exploration and development company in several countries across Latin America. He worked analyzing and proposing exploration projects in 9 countries and more than 30 basins for both Geopark’s assets and new business opportunities. During those years, he published two studies of the Austral Basin of Chile, an extended abstract of structural geology in the Geological Congress of Argentina 2020, and a co-authored publication of an integral analysis of a gas field development in the Congress of Exploration and Development of Hydrocarbons, held in Argentina in 2022. He also participated in two major internal unpublished reports, Basin Screening of the Brazilian Equatorial Margin with BEICIP-Franlab and Regional and Structural Geology Analysis of the Central sector of the Eastern Llanos
Basin, Colombia. His final position in the company was as an asset Exploration Leader in Llanos Basin, Colombia. In 2022, he left the company to pursue another goal, doing a Master’s Program related to critical and strategic resource exploration. Some months later, he obtained a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the United States. Dalmiro has chosen to enroll in the Energy Geoscience Professional Science Masters with a concentration in Energy Transition and Sustainability to pursue his professional aspirations.
