Mr. Alec Creel is a NASA Pathways Intern who currently supports cross-program integration for the Orion, Human Landing System, and Gateway Programs within Johnson Space Center's Vehicle Integration Office and Moon to Mars teams. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2022 with an M.S. in physics, where he worked as a graduate teaching assistant and completed research in cosmic dust and stellar astrophysics. While at UTSA he was involved in space instrumentation at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), and the mock development of a lunar instrument to observe exoplanets using direct imaging in the near-infrared. He graduated in 2019 from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in physics, where he modeled galaxy environments using Hubble Space Telescope observations, and was also a member of TCU’s top-ranked D1 baseball team. Alec is enrolled in Rice University’s Space Studies program with a focus on engineering and management to help him enable the success of NASA's Artemis Program, and looks forward to forging the future of human deep space exploration.
