Stephen Truch

Mr. Truch graduated with a B.S. in zoology from Southern Illinois University in 2006. Since then he has worked in a retail position with Metco Environmental, building on his science education. There he acquired environmental experience as a stack tester for air quality control, learning OSHA compliance, safety protocols and EPA regulatory standards for several types of industrial plants. By pursuing a master’s degree in Environmental Analysis and Decision Making at Rice, he plans to enhance not only his science background, but also his professional skills in management, data analysis, modern environmental techniques, public speaking and communication. Stephen is a highly motivated individual seeking a career in environmental management with a strong focus on remediation. Stephen worked for the City of Houston Environmental Department assisting with water quality analysis, and is deepening his research experience in the lab of Dr. Siemann at Rice.
