Ms. Meghna George graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Environmental Studies in 2020. During her undergraduate education, she completed internships with GSI Environmental, Newpark Resources, and Gaffney Cline & Associates. As part of the three internships, she had the opportunity to work on multiple sustainability-related projects including, methane emissions research, environmental social and governance (ESG) roadmaps, ground water remediation support, assessment on the benefits of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), and the state of global carbon markets.
The dual challenge of providing affordable and clean energy will be the focus of policymakers, investors, and energy companies during this decade and years to come. She believes the area of corporate climate strategies and energy transition policies, and sustainable financing will be an exciting career that truly matches her passion to work on clean and affordable energy solutions. The Environmental Analysis program at Rice will build on her current educational background and prepare her well for a meaningful career to work on challenging issues that she is truly passionate about.
