Mr. Coimbra graduated from Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ) in Brazil with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2014. In 2012 he came to US to study for a year in Western Michigan University as a visiting scholar sponsored by Brazilian government. Also, during this abroad experience, he was a researcher assistant in Texas A&M University where he analyzed and studied through modeling and simulation, the growth of single-walled carbon nanotubes using different proportions of bi-metallic catalysts of nickel and cobalt. Aiming to leverage his skills in sustainability, management and business, João is a Professional Science Master student in the Environmental Analysis and Decision Making program at Rice University. He interned with KCI Technologies, and is now working for them in Brazil.
