Ms. Toro graduated Summa Cum laude from the University of Houston in 2016 with a B.S. in Chemistry and a minor in Geology. While at UH, Fabiana spent a summer as a research assistant in Dr. Lee’s lab working in the organic department dealing with the self-assembled monolayer project. Her interest in pursuing the Environmental Analysis and Decision Making track at Rice University stems from her research assistantship in Dr. Jacobson’s REEcycle start-up program at UH. The REEcycle program deals with the recycling of rare earth metals from lamp phosphors. She is following her passion for environmental sustainability by enhancing her combined knowledge of chemistry and geology in the PMS program at Rice University. She completed the Doerr Institute Leadership program in addition to the regular EA curriculum. She secured an internship with Houston Wilderness and after graduation she joined HUCO Consulting.
