Spielmann

Mr. Cristobal Spielmann has been involved in both journalism and environmental restoration as part of his undergraduate and post-undergraduate career. Regarding the latter, he has interned and volunteered for the San Antonio Zoo, the Bay Foundation and the Friends of Ballona Wetlands, with responsibilities in areas ranging from horticulture to habitat restoration. Additionally, he most recently served as a Joseph A. O’Hare, S.J., Postgraduate Media Fellow for America Media in New York, where, over the course of the year-long program, Mr. Spielmann produced video and audio content surrounding news about the Catholic Church. Mr. Spielmann graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2022 with a bachelor of science in environmental science and minor in political science. As a coordinated degree candidate in Rice University’s Professional Master’s of Science Program in Environmental Analysis and Full-Time Master of Business Administration, Mr. Spielmann hopes to further refine his skills in data literacy, writing and scientific communication.
