Mr. Mooney graduated from Austin College with a degree in Biology in 2007. After graduation he accepted employment with METCO Environmental Co., a subsidiary of Test America Inc. Brandon has an interest in studying how to reduce the impact of pollution and to learn more about anthropogenic climate change. During his undergrad studies he focused on the potential use of living organism, like algae, to remove carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides from effluent gas streams. He plans to deepen his knowledge at Rice with the goal to be involved in environmental policy and regulation after his graduation.Brandon accepted a governmental internship in Washington, DC and accepted a full-time position with the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
