Mr. Ly received his BS in Geological Engineering in 2004 from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He has gained work experience with APEXploration and Rio Tinto Exploration in Lima, Peru before joining Barrick Gold Corporation in the U.S. as a Senior Geologist. Alejandro focused on improving his understanding on ore controllers, mineralization, and ore characterization with objective to develop robust drill exploration targets. The proudest moment in his career has been as the co-discoverer and developer of the world class Goldrush Gold deposit in Nevada, USA. For this he received the 2014 Thayer Lindsley Award at the PDAC event in Toronto, Canada. He joined the Environmental Analysis and Decision Making degree program with the goal to develop a new set of skills in the field of environmental sciences, analytics and management.
