Ms. Yunyi Wang graduated from The Peking University with a B.S in Life Science in 2017. During her studies, she participated in a Stanford Science Internship Training Program focused on tissue-engineering, genetics and nano-technology. She also conducted research on the influence of MG53 Protein on Type 2 Diabetes. In addition, Yunyi added work experience by participating in an internship with Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI), Shenzhen, where she further researched diabetes using genomics and big data. She joined the Bioscience and Health Policy program to expand her education on how policies are developed with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention. Yunyi succeeded to place into an internship with Harris County Health and Human Services and who hired Yunyi after graduation She is working there as an epidemiologist and data analyst.
