Ms. Soares graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Biology from Baylor University. She participated in a public service internship in the pediatric unit at Waco¹s Providence Hospital during her undergrad program. After graduation. she taught chemistry, physics, biology and environmental science to low-income, at-­risk students. Both of these work experiences alerted her to the clash between economic and environmental issues which sparked her interest in environmental issues faced by the healthcare industry. She is the first student in the new Bioscience Research and Health Policy program. Robin secured an internship with UTMB in Galveston and continued as Research Intern with M.D. Anderson. She is now working at Texas Children's Hospital as Grants & Contracts Specialist.
