Ms. Irene Varghese graduated with a B.tech Biotechnology degree from VIT University in India. During her undergraduate degree, she completed several internships at LifePharma FZE, Armats Biotek and Azyme Biosciences, gaining research experience in various avenues of Biotechnology. These experiences made her curious of the implementation of scientific research in health and biotech policy. She decided to join the Biosciences and Health Policy Program at Rice University, where she gained professional and technical skills to build a career in Healthcare Consulting. Irene secured an internship with Careset Systems in the Texas Medical Center where she was hired as Clinical Ontology Analyst after graduation.
