Ms. Savrick received her B.S. in Biology from Southwestern University in May 2015. During her time at Southwestern she volunteered at the city animal shelter for three out of four years of college. During her sophomore year, she began an independent research project in molecular ecology focusing on an invasive species of apple snail. This snail poses a threat to human health and her work hopes to give insight to how the invader spreads. Carson participates in an internship with the TMC Health Policy Institute in Houston, TX. After graduation, she decided to contiune her education and persue UTHealth Medical School.
