Ms. Adaure Amuzie graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.S. in Anthropology. As an undergraduate student, she developed an interest in medical anthropology and public health. After graduating from UCLA, she further developed an interest not only in public health but also health policy. She interned for the Iris Cantor Women’s Education and Resource Center, an outreach and research group that focused on women’s health in under-served communities. Most recently, she worked for the Palo Alto Eye Group, an ophthalmology private practice where she operated various testing machinery for diagnosing Glaucoma. Her work in this practice also developed her growing interest in policy making as she helped patients navigate through their health care coverage. Adaure secured an internship with MD Anderson Office of Health Policy, and decided to pursue a doctoral degree at the Medical School of University of Indiana.
