Ms. Yu received a Master Degree in Computer Science from University of Houston and she has been working for Halliburton since 2007 as a Principal software developer to design modern geophysical and petrophysical 2D/3D software applications. Through her work experience, she also gained domain knowledge on interpretation of logging data from Geosteering, Wireline open hole, case hole tools. Wenshan has published several US patents and papers about real-time bed boundary detection for Geosteering. She decided to join in the Professional Master’s Program of Subsurface Geoscience at Rice University as a part-time student to continue her education in Geology/Geophysics and advance her career in the oil and gas industry.After graduation, she secured a full-time postion with Shell.
