Ms. Chineme Egbo earned her MSc in Fossil Fuel Chemistry with Distinction from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in 2021. Her research, conducted under the supervision of Professor Ofuefule Akuzuo, focused on the catalytic pyrolysis of waste low-density polyethylene (LDPE) using bentonite and rice husk ash, with an emphasis on optimizing process parameters for the production of liquid fuels. This research explored the conversion of waste plastics into alternative energy sources, contributing to sustainable energy solutions. Upon her graduation, Chineme joined the Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre, where she designed and delivered impactful programs on topics such as organizational sustainability, climate change, circular economy, waste management, and energy transition. These initiatives targeted a diverse audience, including business executives, nonprofit leaders, facility managers, sustainable waste managers, media professionals, and students, empowering them to integrate sustainable practices into their strategies and operations. Her work helped foster innovation in products and services that create community transformation while generating economic value. Chineme has chosen to enroll in the professional master’s program in Energy Geoscience with a specialization in the Energy Transition and Sustainability track.
