Mr. Mauricio Treviño IV is currently enrolled in the Professional Science Master’s (PSM) Space Studies program at Rice University, specializing in engineering and management. Building on his technical foundation, he aims to combine the program’s leadership and management training with his engineering expertise to become a well-rounded leader in the space industry.
Before Rice, Mauricio graduated summa cum laude with honors distinction from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. As a NASA Pathways Co-Op at the John C. Stennis Space Center, he supported rocket engine testing operations, gaining experience in system design, test planning, and data analysis. In the Robotics, Automation, and Design (RAD) Lab, he developed and integrated sensor packages for novel spherical mobile robots, while also contributing to high-performing SAE Formula IC and SAE Aero design teams, where he applied advanced simulation tools and hands-on fabrication skills to deliver competitive vehicle and aircraft designs. Passionate about advancing space exploration, he is committed to developing innovations that push humanity toward the final frontier.
