Paul Glenski graduated from Rice University in 2023 with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He holds a deep passion for commercializing space and believes that making it economically viable will facilitate technological and scientifi c advancements that help to promote the Earth sustainably. While at Rice University, Paul started and led the Cube-Satellite Team for two years, ultimately securing a launch manifest for the satellite through NASA’s CubeSat Launch Initiative. He also completed internships in test engineering and product engineering at Viasat, a satellite internet company, and served as the Treasurer for Rice University's Eclipse Rocket Club. Upon graduation, Paul became a Satellite Mission Operator for ICEYE and gained hands-on experience operating a fl eet of 13 imaging satellites. This included identifying and troubleshooting hardware anomalies in real-time, initiating technical procedures, controlling the satellites via Linux and Python scripts, and communicating with cross-functional engineering teams. Paul decided to pursue a Professional Science Masters (PSM) in Space Studies to enhance his abilities in project management and intends to work as a project manager for commercial space companies after graduation.
