Ms. Foo graduated from Rice University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She majored in Cognitive Sciences and Policy Studies. As an undergraduate student, she co-founded the Children’s Defense Fund Student Health Outreach chapter at Rice University. After graduation, she continued her work in the community, becoming a developer for HealthAnn. In the summer of 2012, she served as a development intern at San José Clinic. Connie believes the knowledge and skills she will gain from the Bioscience and Health Policy program will better equip her to advocate on the behalf of individuals and families who face health disparities and inequities. Ultimately, she hopes to become a liaison between the community and the health care institutions that serve them. Connie was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship and conducted her internship with M.D. Anderson, and is working for HealthAnn.
