Ms. Zhou graduated from University of Science and Technology of China with a Bachelor Degree of Physics in 2010. During her undergraduate study, she spent two years in the National Laboratory for Physical Science at Microscale of China, mainly focusing on the nanostructure materials and their properties. After graduation she decide to continue her graduate education at Rice. Zhou is very interested in nano-materials and bio-nanophysics. She joined the professional master program to establish a solid academic foundation in nanoscale physics and to acquire business skills which will help her to be successful in industry or business. She started an internship with the Methodist Research Center, part of the Texas Medical Center, and secured employment with Baker Hughes after graduation. Baker Huges sent her back to Rice to pursue a PhD in Material Science.
