Mr. Lach graduated from Tulane University in 2013 with a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, along with a minor in International Development. As an undergraduate, he spent a summer studying water quality and genetic variation in rural Kenyan streams under the tutelage of Tulane and Nairobi University professors. He continued working on related research at the Tulane University Biodiversity Research Institute as a laboratory technician for the year following graduation. This experience fostered an interest in addressing environmental issues in a resource-constrained world. Through Rice University’s Professional Science Master’s in Environmental Analysis and Decision Making, David aspires to work in environmental consulting on biological impact assessment and/or habitat remediation, and succeeded to place in an internship with Element Markets. After graduation, David accepted a position with RES in Houston.
