Why I chose Rice
and see where they found Job Placement after Graduation
“The program is a good mix of academic topics, with an eye toward how the material can be used outside the classroom. The faculty is knowledgeable and accessible, and the program staff make the PSM program feel like a family.” Rebecca Neal, EADM - employed with UNIVAR
Beyond the academics, the PSM program provides opportunities to develop other skills, like networking and communications, for professional success and career development.- Narinta Limtrakul, BHP - continuing into a doctoral program
The EADM Program juxtaposes Engineering and Science classes with Management, Law and Policy coursework. I believe that mix equips students to better handle real world problems, see all the dimensions at play and think outside the typical framework to deliver creative solutions.- Divya Chandran, EADM - Huco Consulting
"Rice University PSM program is a great way to enter a field of your interest while enjoying the overall learning experience of studying at Rice." Woojin Lee, BHP
"Networking is key and the learning opportunities at Rice are endless." "Embrace the opportunity that is Rice University being nestled in one of the most diverse and dynamic cities in the world!" Mashal Awais, EADM - Huco Consulting
The Professional Science Master's program combines the academic rigor of an elite research university, the real-world skills necessary to succeed in industry, and the flexibility to pursue your own professional interests. –John Pederson, EADM - Raun Project Group, Rice University
I really enjoyed the coursework that was relevant to the industry and taught by the adjunct professors. From a technical perspective, these are the skills I need to move from school into the industry. I believe that this is the strongest aspect of the program, and allows the students to stand out when competing against thesis masters students. Also it is an excellent networking opportunity.
I also enjoyed the elective options in the MBA program and from the Baker Institute. These courses provide diversification from the technical requirements and are unique to the Rice experience (another benefit when looking to stand out in the job market). –Jennifer Holley, SG, British Petroleum
