Mr. Odezulu taught sedimentology at his alma mater, the University of Nigeria, upon graduation from the university. He received a master's degree in geology from Florida State University, Tallahassee, with a research focus on isotope geochemistry. Christopher enrolled at Rice University in the Subsurface Geoscience Program to specialize in sedimentology and stratigraphy with special interest in carbonate rocks. He wished to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry where he can contribute his vast knowledge of geology and become an effective team leader. He pursued an internship with Halliburton/Landmark, and decided to continue in academia by pursuing a PhD degree.
