In 2007, Mr. Cornette graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology from University of Texas. He was accepted to the thesis-based Master of Science degree program at Rice’s Earth Science department in 2007, however, decided to transfer to the more interdisciplinary Professional Master’s program which allowed him to gain technical knowledge and practical experience for employment in the oil and gas industry. After his graduation in 2009, Brian first worked with MicroSeismic Inc. in Houston Texas, later switching to JD Rockies Resources Limited. Brian accepted a position from Oasis Petroleum in 2013.
