Lianne Rachel Johnson graduated from Velammal Institute of Technology, Anna University, India in 2019 with a B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering. While at Velammal, she was appointed as the Chairman for the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications (IETE) Students Forum and was also President of Igniculus’18, a National Level Technical Symposium. She was involved with the Research and Development team at her college where she collaborated with the Electrical and Mechanical departments. She aided in the simulation of a nose wheel steering mechanism and wrote multiple proposals on behalf of the R & D to receive funding of projects. Lianne also worked with a team to simulate the speed control for a brushless DC motor using ARM for the same. She has also had the privilege of working on other external projects at various reputed organizations. Apart from these, she has hosted various collegiate events and involves herself in sports and music. She has an innate love for the cosmos and is currently enrolled in the Space Studies program to prepare herself for a career in the space industry.
