Ms. Maya Bokunewicz will be graduating from Rice University in May 2023 with a B.A. in Psychology and a Certificate in French Studies. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she acquired many research skills including experience conducting and participating in undergraduate psychological science labs. She also participated in a cultural immersion study abroad program through Rice in Country where she spent six weeks in Toulouse, France with a host family. In addition, Ms. Maya Bokunewicz is a Division I Women’s Basketball student-athlete for Rice University. She gained leadership expertise through serving on the executive board of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee for three years. She will be pursuing a Professional Master’s of Science in Bioscience and Health Policy from Rice University as she simultaneously finishes the final year of her undergraduate degree. She plans to use her fifth year of eligibility for the Owls on the court to complete her graduate degree. Her long-term professional goal is to attend dental school and eventually lead her own dentistry practice. She hopes to build a strong foundation in bioscience and public policy before attending dental school to benefit the care and health of her future patients as well as the structure and policies of her dentistry practice.
