Ms. Deepika Yerva graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Secondary Education, where she obtained her Texas teaching certification for grades 7 through 12, in 2023. During her undergraduate degree, she was involved in research technician positions and teaching assistant positions in an introductory biology course and a biochemistry lab course. This is where she found a love for both and wanted to blend them into a career as a professor. Ms. Yerva is enrolled in Rice University’s Bioscience and Health Policy Professional Master of Science Program. She hopes to further cancer biology research while guiding the next generation of scholars through their endeavors.
